Otherwise known as semi permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing is the process of depositing semi permanent ink into the most superficial layers of the skin with a disposable and sterile needle. It can be done to create the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, or enhance features on the face.
-
Microblading is a form of semi permanent makeup that involves using a head of tiny fine-point needles to manually deposit hair-like strokes of pigment into the skin to mimic the look of real brow hairs. This technique is not recommended for combination and oily skin types.
-
Ombre otherwise known as misty brows or microshading is a form of semi permanent makeup meant to replicate a soft powder/makeup filled brow or a brow tint. This method uses a machine to deposit ink into the upper layers of the skin. The results are soft and powdery, as opposed to having fine hair like strokes. This technique works great for all skin types, especially oilier clients who are not suitable candidates for microblading.
-
Combo brows give clients the ability to have the best of both worlds. This is done by microblading the front of the brows to give them a fluffier hair-like appearance, while shading the tails to give them a more bold and defined look.

The initial appointment takes approximately 3 hours. This includes numbing, brow shaping , colour matching and the tattoo process. We take as long as we need to ensure your brows are perfection!
-
While many of our clients only need their initial appointment to achieve beautiful healed results, an additional 6-8 week touchup may be needed to perfect small areas. This touchup can also be used to tweak density, colour etc. based on the clients preference.
-
A few days after your appointment, the brows will begin to scab. Similar to a paper cut when it is healing, the brows will begin to look dark and thick as they start to form scabs. Slowly, the scabs begin to flake off. It is normal for the brows to look patchy during the healing process, and it is very important to keep them dry for the first 7-10 days and refrain from picking at the scabs for the best healed results.
Once the scabs fall off, brows may appear lighter than expected. Within the next few weeks they will darken as the colour comes back to the surface. It is at this point that you will come back for your 6-6 week touch-up if needed.
-
Everyone’s skin heals differently. Depending on your skin type, and how well your body heals, some areas may retain pigment better than others. We always do our best to ensure that your brows heal evenly. Some people require a touchup at the 6-8 week mark while others don't. Please be patient with the process, as everyone’s body is different. We aim to get everyone their desired result!

AFTER-CARE
-
Expect your brows to look bold, dark and have a red tint to them immediately after the procedure, as they go through the healing process they will begin to lighten. Slight swelling and redness is normal initially after your appointment.
-
The eyebrows must be kept dry for the first 7-10 days. This includes no swimming, saunas, steam, excessive sweating or products around the brow area. Avoid using oils, moisturizers, and exfoliating products around the brow and forehead area. When showering take extra care to ensure you are keeping the brows as dry as possible as this will help the pigment to heal better. DO NOT scrub, wash, pick, or itch your fresh brows. You will be sent home with a complimentary care kit and instructions to follow for optimal healed results.
-
It is recommended to book a yearly maintenance appointment to refresh the brow colour and maintain their overall appearance! An SPF of 30+ should be applied on healed brows daily to maintain their colour and avoid any discolouring by the sun. The more you expose your brows to the sun, exfoliants, retinols, chlorine, chemical peels etc. the quicker they will fade. Everyone’s healed results depend on their skin type, lifestyle and their commitment to protecting their beautiful new brows!
